Lungshan Temple

Carved wood and stone enrich a temple founded in 1738. Its courtyards connect architectural detail with Wanhua’s long neighbourhood history.

Founded in 1738, Lungshan Temple became an important centre for the community in Monga, now Wanhua. Repairs and rebuilding have been part of its history, while its three-part layout and elaborate craft remain central to its identity. Look from the overall arrangement to a smaller piece of wood or stone carving. A friend may notice a different detail in the same view. Compare your observations in a suitable quiet spot, with space left for worshippers.
