Lingering Garden
Courtyards, halls and rocks create changing garden scenes. A framed view invites you to linger over one small relationship between stone and greenery.

The Lingering Garden began in 1593, but its appeal is not confined to a founding date. Different sections bring together halls, courtyards, rockeries, water and planted spaces. Their arrangement turns a compact garden into a place of changing impressions.
Notice how a doorway or corridor limits your view before another space opens. If you could keep just one frame as a drawing, which arrangement of stone, leaves and roof would you choose?
